Spraoi agus Spórt is hosting a coffee morning for parents of children with special needs beginning at 10.30am, to update parents on our planned activities for the Something Special Social Club. Bring your toddlers along too.

Join us at St Brigids National School Glenmakee today for afternoon tea from 2-4pm to highlight Breast Cancer Awareness month. Wear pink and join in the fun. All donations welcome.

A social will be held in Hillhead Curch Hall tonight from 9.30pm – 1.30pm. Music by Country Style. Tickets 6 euro, including supper. All welcome.

Retirement Dance for Anthony Burke will take place in Strand Hotel on 28th October. Admission 25 euro. Tickets available at Bridie Doherty (F), any committee member or Mary Lafferty 9374338.

The Annual General Meeting of the Colgan Heritage Group will be held in the Colgan Community and Resource Centre on Tuesday 30th October at 8.30pm. (please note change of date). New members most welcome.

Inishowen Gardening Club - next talk will take place on Monday 22nd October in Wesley Hall, Carndonagh at 8pm. Craigtown school fundraisers Camel Racing night on Friday, 2nd November in the Strand Hotel at 8pm. Buy your Camel for 10 euro, you can contact any parent within Craigtown School. Come along on the night to join in the fun, there’s no admission fee.

The Charity Cycle/Walk in memory of little Hugh Simpson will take place on the 11th November. More details for this will follow closer to the date.

A coffee morning will be held in aid of iCARE in Cafe Donagh, Diamond, Carndonagh on Tuesday 23 October 10.00am-12.00noon. By kind donation of Pascal Trabac all proceeds from Tea/Coffee and our wee buns during this time will go to iCARE.  Everyone welcome, buy a tea or coffee and help a local charity continue its invaluable work.

Carndonagh FC is running a good as new shop under Super Valu commencing on the 12th November. Anyone willing to donate items can leave them at St Patricks Park from Monday to Friday between 7-9pm. Thank you.

GAA The winning numbers in the club mini-lotto were 2, 17, 14, 4 and 22. There was no jackpot winner. The 30 euro prize went to Karen Cullan, c/o Doherty’s, Moville Rd.; 15 Euro each to Linda McGonagle, Malin town; Mary McGettigan, Lecamy; Joe Taitt, Inishoneill, Carn and John McKinney, The Mullins, Carn.
