St Mary’s Hall auction on Sunday

The following people are willing to collect items for the annual action taking place in St. Mary’s community Hall this Sunday, – Liam Harkin, tel:9384336, Robert Hegarty, tel: 9384049, Joe Lynch, tel: 9384026, Joe McColgan, tel: 9384076, Eamon Gallagher, tel: 9383131. The hall be open tomorrow from 10am until 9pm to receive goods. The auction will commence at 2:30pm on Sunday – all kinds of everything acceptable (except mattresses) – no item too small or too big.The auction is also a social occasion where you can meet up with friends have a bit of craic – teas will be available. All proceeds going towards the upkeep of St. Mary’s Community Hall.

Enrolment forms for pupils wishing to enrol in Scoil Noamh Brid to begin in September 2012 are now available from the school office, ‘phone 0749384136, between 9:30am and 3:00pm. Completed forms must be returned to the school by 3pm on Friday March 23rd 2012.

Carndonagh Community School presents its fundraising Ceili in the Aras on Friday, 2nd March. The fundraising project this year is to enhance the catering facilities in the Aras. It is essential that this project be completed by August, 2013 for the 4oth Reunion Celebration in the school. Music is by The Duntally Ceili Band. Admission is 5 euro, including supper. Everyone welcome. Tickets on sale in Doherty’s (Fintan’s) Newsagents, Carndonagh.

Carndonagh Community Market is on every Saturday at the Colgan Hall, Carndonagh from 12-3pm. We have a variety of stalls selling local, homemade and handcrafted produce - from locally produced food to unique Inishowen handcrafted goods. We also have live music, hot food, and a warm welcome! Pop in for a chat and a cuppa.

The Diabetic Federation of Ireland Donegal Branch annual church gate collection will be on March 3rd and 4th and your generosity would be appreciated

Time On Your Hands Club. - Wednesday 29th of February at 1:30pm, Longevity (a talk on body and body aging process) at Warren View Manor. (Please note the change of date and venue). Bingo goers please note there will be no B-ngo in St. Mary’s Community Hall tomorrow night owning to the auction next day. Bingo as usual the following Saturday, 3rd March at 9.15pm. Your continued support is appreciated.

A big thank you to all those who supported the Valentine Social held in Warren View (Muff Sheltered Housing) – it was a great success, also thanks to Eddie & Friends who provided the music which really made the night for everyone. Keep an eye out for next social which will take place in early Spring. The usual activities are Dinner every Wednesday at 12:30pm. Cost 5 euro. The AGM of Muff Festival Committee took place last Thursday. Despite a poor attendance, the Committee is upbeat and are appealing to any individual or group interested to get involved in this year’s festival which takes place on Friday 3rd of August-Monday 6th of August. Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 15th of March at 8pm in the Resource Centre at St Mary’s Hall, Muff. Please come along and help us to make our festival this year the best yet.

The numbers drawn in this week’s Naomh Padraig GAA Lotto draw were 1,7,3,4,6,2,5. There was no jackpot winner and the 100 euro runnner-up prize went to Kieran Lynch, Drumskeellan, Ture. Next week’s jackpot will be 600 euro.
