St. Mary’s Limavady students presented hampers to St Vincent de Paul and The Salvation Army to help those who are in need in the local area.

Year 11 pupils were at the forefront ofthe project as part of a pilot programme organised by the Derry Diocese.

Over 40 hampers of food stuff was collected by the pupils in the school.

It is apt that this this project takes place during Lent as the church talks about payer and almsgiving (giving to others) and the pupils of St. Mary’s and particular the Year 11 pupils have worked hard to provide for others who in the local area may be struggling.

The school would like to thank the Derry Diocese for involving them in the project and look forward to taking part in this very worthwhile programme again.
