St. Patrick’s Girls NS Thanksgiving Mass will be held tonight Friday, March 11th in the Church at 7 pm, followed by an historical exhibition in the school. All welcome to attend and we extend a special welcome to past pupils and parents.

Sunday Night Music Series continues in Hillhead this Sunday, 13th March, Music with Stuart Buchanan, Albert Gibson and John McGeoghan. Tea 7pm, Music 7.30pm All welcome.

The annual St Patrick’s Day Walk from Carndonagh to Malin will this year be in aid of Donegal Alzheimer’s Society, The Sean O’Hare Unit and The James Connolly Memorial Hospital. Leaving from the Diamond at 4pm. Sponsorship cards available from McLaughlin Brothers and Mary Gillen, Church Road.

The Ventures have busy working on their new Bivvy site over the last few weeks and indeed last week they had their first out door sleep over on their new site. The Scouts went to Sligo for a weekend camp just past. Everything went off very well and there were lots of activities laid on for the Scouts. On Sunday 8th Donegal Carndonagh attended the Annual Founders Day in Killybegs, Many congratulations to all the leaders who achieved awards on the day. On Monday past the Beavers had a visit from the emergency services. The main focus of the exercise was to educate the Beavers on road safety. They were told how accidents can happen, some of the Beavers were even breathalysed, thankfully they all passed. The Cubs went to Greenhill for their version of night - line, everyone involved had a brilliant time.

Inishowen Women’s Outreach are holding their AGM on Monday 21st March at 7.30pm in IDP offices, Pound Street, Carndonagh. All interested parties welcome.

Fundraising Dance in the Strand hotel on Friday 18th March, tickets 5 euro, 2 euro Lines will be on sale throughout Inishowen, Proceeds to New Cardiac Ward, Letterkenny General Hospital. Draw will take place at the dance. Please support this very worthy cause.

The Inishowen Environmental Group is seeking volunteers to help out with its Annual Tree Sale which will take place on Saturday 26th of March at the Donagh Cross, Carndonagh. The aim of the Tree sale is to encourage people in the area to plant native trees, invigorating and protecting wildlife and our Environment. Spraoi agus Spórt would like to thank everyone who supported their quiz in Simpsons Bar last Fri night. The quiz was hosted by Gerry Campbell, over 120 people took part to raise 1206 euro. This money will be used to purchase additional resources for the centre. Go raibh míle maith agaibh.

Special Olympics The Bocan Drama group presents comedy play ‘A Damsel From Dublin’ by Thomas King Moylan in the Colgan Hall on Friday, 18th of March commencing at 8pm. Doors open at 7.30 and admission is 5 euro with concessions for families .Come along for a fun night out with all the proceeds going to Inishowen Special Olympics to provide vital funds to allow taking their athletes to Bowling on a Monday night in Derry every two weeks and on the alternative weeks they go to Soccer on a Tuesday evening in Buncrana Youth Club.
