Derry man Stephen Barr is to support UK Number one recording artist, rapper Tinchy Stryder, for his Northern Ireland tour.
Stephen will take to the stage of The Millennium Forum this Friday, August 12 and again in Belfast the following night.
Stephen said he is at his most “comfortable” when on stage and is “delighted” to be part of the urban fever that is Tinchy Stryder’s ‘The Hip Pop Project.’
Stephen, a singer from Derry’s Tamneymore Park, said: “I’m excited and honoured to be supporting such a well known and established artist. I have been singing and dancing from a very young age which has provided me with plenty of experience. That has helped me develop many skills which will be beneficial as I try to get into the industry.
“Performing and entertaining made me realise that I feel most comfortable on stage, which is why, I’m always striving for new and more challenging opportunities to express my love of entertaining.”
Stephen has in the past supported Toni Braxton in Las Vegas and was the first winner and only Irish winner ever, of the ‘UK PUBSTARS’ competition. He also supported Chipmunk in concert last year and reached the final 100 of X-Factor 2010.
Tickets for Friday night’s Millennium Forum concert cost £20.00 and can be obtained from the box office, tel: 028 7126 4455.
