A camera stolen from two tourists in Derry on Sunday has been handed in to police.
Swiss couple Laura Podaro and Martin Fischer were shocked when their camera was snatched by a youth in at Free Derry Corner in broad daylight.
News of theft sparked outrage across the North West.
Buncrana camera company Pixcam then came to the couple’s rescue by giving them a brand new camera to say sorry on behalf of all in the North West.
However, further testament to the hospitality of the North West was handing in of the stolen item to Strand Road Police Station by a member of the public on Tuesday.
The couple had been travelling Ireland for one week and had taken between 100 and 200 photographs on the stolen camera.
