Police warn of 'treacherous conditions' after electricity pole is levelled in road accident

An electricity pole has been levelled blocking one of the main roads from the Sperrins into Strabane following a single vehicle car crash.

The PSNI have asked people to be extremely careful driving in what they've described as treacherous conditions.

A spokesperson said: "The Ligford Road from Plumbridge to Strabane is blocked following a single-vehicle road traffic collision today, Friday November 24.

"An electricity pole is lying across the road near the junction with Meenagorp Road.

"Police are also urging motorists to show extreme care due to treacherous driving conditions with snow falling and ice on the road."
