The Summer Solstice takes place this Sunday at Ireland most northerly point, Banba’s Crown, Malin Head. Local traditional musicians who will be accompanied by other well known musicians from Inishowen. You can watch the sun set to Music and Song. Everyone is invited to come and join in on the delightful occasion. Gates open at 8pm. Music from 9pm till dark.

Carndonagh Community School Bookshop will be open for First and Second year Students to-day from 9.30am untill 4pm and to-morrow Saturday 20th from 9.30m until 1pm

There will be a fundraising dance in aid of the Oncology Unit, Letterkenny Hospital in the Malin Hotel on Sunday July 25th. Dancing is from 10pm to 1am. Music is by local Musicians. Tickets are 10euro and door prize is 100euro. This is organised by Josie Mc Laughlin and Family. Please support this worthy cause. On the morning of 21st breakfast will be available from Cafe Banba, a lovely start to the day.

Feile Grianan Ailigh 2015 is celebrating the Summer solstice with a Dawn Chorus and musical programme on Sunday led by Inishowen Traditional Group and the Codetta Choir from 1.30–7am inside and outside Grianan Fort. Car parking will be available from 1am. and costs 5 euro per vehicle, which includes a ticket on the shuttle bus taking visitors up to Grianan Fort. Tea, Coffee and hot food will be available throughout the morning.

Carrowmenagh Sport Day will be held on Sunday 5th July from 2pm onwards at the Warren football pitch.
