Super supper dance tonight

There will be a Super Supper Dance in St Mary’s Hall, Burt tonight with music by the fabulous Hugh McMonagle. The dancing will get underway at 9.30pm. Admission, which includes supper, is 5 euro and all proceeds are going to the upkeep of the Hall.

Congratulations to Neil Oliver Hirrell, Tummock, Bridgend and Gillian Doran, Newtowncunningham who were married recently in All Saints Church (Newtowncunningham).

Congratulations also to Michelle Robinson of the Burt Red Cross who was awarded the Western Regional Trophy and proudly brought home the cup.

Burt’s Big Bingo was a tremendous success. The organizers thank all who supported and gave prizes, St Aengus’ NS for their help. The total raised was 1,250 euro for the St.Aengus’ Church Restoration Fund. Kathleen acknowledges a donation of 95 euro towards St Mary’s Hall, Burt. We are holding another Sunday bingo on November 30th at 3pm.

Aileach Women’s Group will meet at Burt GAA clubhouse, on Wednesday, October 29 at 8.00pm. We welcome all our members back and would also welcome new members. This month’s speaker will talk women’s health and the benefits of wheat grass. For more details, contact: Kathleen on 074 9368373

Burt Bingo takes place every Tuesday evening at 9pm in St Mary’s Hall. A book and sheet cost 9 euro.
