The Mayor Brenda Stevenson has teamed up with members of ‘Team Joe’ to showcase some of the prizes up for auction at the forthcoming Casino Night.

David Toland and Declan McSwiney joined Colr. Stevenson ahead of the event, which takes place at the Maldron Hotel on 28th March.

To date almost £10,000 has been raised as part of the ongoing efforts to raise much needed funds for Guildhall staff member Joe McDaid who was diagnosed last year with Motor Neurone Disease.

One of the top prizes is one hour’s drive around the Ulster Grand Prix track in a Ferrari - kindly donated by Charles Hurst Ferrari Motors, as well as signed sports tops and footballs, driving lessons, boxing gloves and lots of vouchers. Tickets are available locally and are priced at £10.

Team Joe are also organising a Pamper Day at BT1 Hair and Beauty Salon at the Ballinska Business Park on Sunday, March 8th between 12 and 4pm.

Mayor Brenda Stevenson said she was delighted with the support received to date and urged people to support the fundraising events taking place. Follow #Team Joe on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/joemcdaidmnd.
