Have your say

The Millennium Forum has just announced details of three brand new event nights in the newly refurbished Café Aroma that are guaranteed to get your weekends off to a flying start and you can take part!

If you are a budding musician or stand-up comedian who fancies your chances at entertaining local audiences in the intimate setting of the Forum’s Café Aroma, this is your chance!

Starting on Friday, 6th September and continuing on the first Friday of every month, the Aroma Sessions, in association with local music impresario, Ray McCrossan, will feature a wealth of local musical talent. For details on how to take part, contact Paddy at the Forum on 71 272789.

The following week, from Friday 13th September, sees the return of the hugely successful comedy panel show, Halfwits, which pits comedians against the general public. Each month, three comedians from across Ireland will compete against three locals in a general knowledge quiz. To compete in this new show, email halfwits@live.co.uk saying why you think you’d be suitable.

The ever popular Open Mic Comedy Nights return on Friday 20th September and are set to continue on the third Friday of each month. Hosted by Danny McCrossan, they will feature a range of local stand-up comedy wannabees. So you think you’re funny? Stand up! Let’s hear you! For details on how to take part, contact Danny directly on 07706425305.

All events take place each Friday in Café Aroma on the main piazza area of the Millennium Forum. Entertainment kicks off at 9pm and admission is completely free. For more information, contact Paddy McDermott at the Millennium Forum on 02871 272789.
