Greencastle Community Centre is presenting a fundraising night based around the television programme ‘The Cube’ on Saturday 5 April. This will be the biggest Cube event in the North West, with a guaranteed prize fund of 5,000 euro. The competition is open to all charities, sporting groups, social clubs, groups and individuals who are raising money for charity etc. The entry fee per group is 250 euro. This will be a great night of entertainment with the winner of each round progressing to a grand final where one person will walk away with a guaranteed prize of 5,000 euro. With only 3 weeks to go the local St Patricks Day committee is putting the finishing touches to the programme for St Patricks weekend. We are appealing for everyone in the parish and adjoining areas to consider putting some float in the parade. Country singer Gerry Guthrie and his band will be in the Square from 2pm. Floats gather on the Glencrow Road from 2 p.m onwards for a 2.30 p.m start. No fees or registration necessary. Beidh fáilte mór romhat i mBun a’ Phobail . Carndonagh Commmunity School Transition Year Students present a Gala Fashion Show in the Aras tonight at 8p.m. Tickets cost 8 euro and are available from the school and local shops. All proceeds are going towards improving the facilities in the Aras. Carndonagh Community School presents its Annual Fundraising Ceili in the Aras on Friday, 7 March. Dancing from 9.00. until 12.00. Music is by Martin Doogan and everybody is very welcome. Admission including supper is 5 euro.
Moville Parents and Toddlers Group meets every Thursday morning from 10am – 12 noon in the Methodist Hall, Moville. It is a great way to meet new parents in the area while the children play together.New parents with young babies are especially welcome to come along. Refreshments are provided and everyone is welcome.
