The Movers and Shakers drama group are currently in the midst of rehearsals for their next production, a stage play entitled “Two Diazepam an’ a Wee Sleeper. The play is a comedy and will be performed on the 26th and 27th February 2015 in the Waterside Theatre. The play written and produced by Mary McLaughlin was inspired by the late Pat Mulkeen.
This voluntary drama group, who welcome all new comers, performed to sell-out audiences with their last production “Two Cream Cookies an’ a Wee German” earlier this year. Continuing with their theme of having a humorous take on the behind the scenes ploys of any workplace, this time the group take a rollicking look at the antics of a zany group of cleaners on anything but a normal day.
The Movers and Shakers are a community based drama group working out of the Waterside Theatre and performing to a variety of groups across the community.
