Top Cajun dance band, Sarah Savoy and The Francadians, are set to delight audiences at the Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre, Limavady on Saturday 1 March 2014, 8pm.
Sarah Savoy and her band are regarded as a musical force with one foot in the honky-tonk and the other in the juke joint! Producing dynamic and energetic Cajun of the highest order, this is definitely one for the dancers and lovers of Cajun music in general.
Sarah was born and raised in Louisiana, the daughter of Cajun’s two most influential musicians, Ann and Marc Savoy.
Her band has quickly gained a reputation in the UK for their driving dance-hall Cajun, rousing Rockabilly and sizzling Zydeco, with outstanding festival performances all over, from Americana at The Sage to Blues on the Farm in Chichester, and WOMAD, Charlton Park in both 2008 and 2009.
The Arts Centre’s auditorium will feature cabaret style seating, candlelight and there will be plenty of room to dance the night away!
This is a Cultural Crossings event and is promoted by the Provost of the Coleraine Campus, University of Ulster, in partnership with Causeway Coast Arts Committee.
Tickets are available from the Arts Centre’s Box Office on 02877760650 or visit their website roevalleyarts.com for further information.
