Draft proposals for the regeneration of Limavady’s town centre are on display to the public this week.
The Department for Social Development and Limavady Borough Council in association with their appointed consultants RPS, have prepared draft proposals in support of the Regeneration Masterplan for the town centre.
“The Masterplan will identify the regeneration potential within the town centre (including potential redevelopment opportunities) to guide the future improvement of it,” said a Limavady Borough Council spokesperson.
“These draft proposals are available to view in the Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre / Ionad Ealaíon agus Cultúir Ghleann na Ró for one week, until Monday, 21 February 2011.
The RPS team will be in attendance at the exhibition on Friday, 18 February from 10-4pm, an excellent opportunity for anyone who wishes to discuss any of the proposals or issues directly with a team member.
The team would welcome comments from the wider community, local businesses, community groups, traders, schools and local organisations on the proposals, on the accompanying feedback form (which will be confidential).
Commenting on the plans, Michael Carten, Mayor of the Limavady Borough, said, “This is really important for the future of the largest town in our Borough. We would urge everyone to come along, view the plans and give some feedback. All views will be valuable in finalising how these plans move forward!”
