Town Spring Clean tomorro

Mike Denver with Marty Donaghey,  Yvonne Harkin, Paddy Campbell, Sean McHugh and Jackie Coyle Committee Members of the Sheep Shearing Championships, a festival which promises to be Inishowen's most memorable family entertainment event of the year which will be held  on the 30th and 31st of May at An Grianan Estate Burt.  Visitors will be treated not only to a display of some of the world's most impressive sheep shearing but to an array of family attractions including a fun fair, sheepdog trials, petting farm, gourmet food quarter including demonstrations by the inimitable Brian Mc Dermott, rural craft displays, traditional music and dancing, trade stands and a host of entertainment events too numerous to mention. Night time entertainment will be no less impressive with the one and only Mike Denver performing on Friday night, followed by the ever popular Jim Devine on Saturday night. Photo Clive Wasson

Carndonagh Library will be hosting a number of events for Bealtaine: Knit & Stitch with designer Edel MacBride: Spend an evening of design and inspiration with Donegal’s award winning designer. A Blood donor clinic will take place in the Community School on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th May 2.30-5pm and 7-9pm. It’s good to give blood.

Buncrana Flowers Arrangers will present their annual fundraising night of Floral & Entertainment in the Lake of Shadows Hotel, Buncrana on Thursday 14th May at 8pm. Carndonagh Active Retirement runs dancing on Mondays 2.30pm, Art on Tuesdays at 2pm in the Wesley Hall.

Colgan Hall Bingo every Wednesday night at 9pm.

Saddlerock Cycling club meet every Sunday morning at 9am at the Council office carpark. This group is open to male and female cyclists, new member are always welcome.

Carndonagh Community Library is partnership with the Inishowen Development partnership will host computer classes today 15th, 22nd and 29th May from 11am -12.30pm.
