The Mayor of Derry, Councillor Martin Reilly, has called for the findings of the public consultation into the future of the Waterside train station to be published.
Speaking at the monthly meeting of Derry City Council’s regional services committee, colr. Reilly asked Council to write to Translink and the Regional Development Minister to ask for the results.
“There was a meeting with the minister on this issue and a public consultation but that consultation has not yet been published.
“I think this committee should be writing to the minister and Translink asking for the findings. A range of lobby groups are also calling for that consultation to be published.
“I also think it would be appropriate to convene a special regional services meeting to consider it. Translink need to come to us and tell us what they are going to do,” he said.
