Residents and business owners in Laburnum Terrace have raised concerns about the impact of ongoing roadworks in the area.
Sinn Féin councillor Patricia Logue held a meeting with DRD Road Service to discuss the concerns of the local residents.
“A number of issues have been raised by residents and local businesses in relation to the major roadworks taking place, the timeframe involved and the inconvenience to residents in Laburnum and Westend Terrace. As it is a main arterial route its closure is also having an impact on residents in lower Beechwood Avenue and Marlborough Terrace due to traffic diversions.
“I and Councillor Colly Kelly met with DRD Roads Services and raised those concerns. They have told us that they are trying to get those issues resolved as speedily as possible,” Colr. Logue said.
