Colr. Cooper said: “I met with Transport NI to raise concerns over obstructions to the view of motorists exiting these junctions, and pedestrians just trying to the cross the road. This is a very busy road with hundreds of cars travelling through here each day.

“They are proposing that a 15m yellow corner restriction markings are put down as per the junctions at Pennyburn Pass and Ardnashee.

“The corner markings will keep people from parking close to the junction and this will improve people’s sightline when exiting this roads.”

It is hoped that the works can be carried out over the next four to six weeks, Colr. Cooper said.
