A teenager has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Derry.
Police say the 17-year old male was struck by a car shortly after 8:30pm on the Buncrana Road.
“Shortly after 8.30pm it was reported that a collision had occurred between a car and a male pedestrian. The 17 year old male pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are described as serious. The Buncrana Road has now reopened to traffic,” a PSNI spokesman said.
