Tributes were last night paid to Sean ‘Norny’ Cullen who died in Thursday’s car crash in Ballyarnett.

Amanda Cullen described her cousin as, “a happy-go-lucky person and a gentleman. He idolised his children and did everything with them. Everybody is really in shock.” Derry City Council’s Environmental Services meeting passed a motion of condolence for Mr. Cullen and his family. Dozens of tributes appeared on Facebook: “RIP Norny it’s true, the good always go first;’ ‘U were always a big gentleman I can’t believe it!’ Mr. Cullen is survived by partner Mona and children Sean-Paul and Saoirse, parents Pat and Anna, and siblings Paul, Patrick and Charlene. Requiem Mass will at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown on Sunday.
