Two arrested after cannabis factory found
A man and a woman have been arrested following the discovery of a cannabis factory in Derry.
Police say they carried out a proactive search at a house in the Waterside just after 9pm on Friday February 5, and a cannabis factory with around 35 plants was found in the attic.
PSNI Inspector Rosemary Thompson said: “A 31 year old man and 34 year old woman have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply, cultivating cannabis and being concerned in the supply of a class B controlled drug. Both currently remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.”
