A boy who netted the opening goal of the 2015 Foyle Cup tournament dedicated the strike to his recently deceased granny.

The U9 player took all of 13 seconds to find the back of the net in his side’s opening game of the Foyle Cup tournament.

After scoring the goal, the boy, who is called Oisin, can be seen running towards friends and family before revealing a T-shirt underneath his jersey with the message ‘This one is for your granny, love Oisin’ on it.

The 2015 Hughes Insurance Foyle Cup tournament started in Derry on Tuesday and will run until the weekend.
