An antique style water pump which was recently installed in the village was vandalised in the early hours of Monday. In another incident, a contractor who had been engaged to carry out ground work at the MUGA in Muff had 500 litres of diesel and batteries stolen from his diggers and considerable damage was caused to a door.

The MUGA is a new play area in Muff that provides facilities for the youth of the parish to engage in different activities such as tennis etc, and at present the Muff Development Co-Op is getting a children’s playground up and running. Those who carried out these despicable act have no regard for other people’s property, or for the amount of hard work being put into providing these much needed facilities. If anyone has any information regarding these inclidents of theft and vandalism they should contact the Gardai immediately.
