iCARE and Sonas Youth Club are to hold a volunteer recruitment evening on Monday, November 10th.

iCARE Ltd was set up in 2000 by parents of children with special needs who felt that there was no social outlet for their children in the local community. It offers after school respite sessions and school holiday programmes, as well as programmes throughout the week. The group offers an invaluable social outlet for children with autism spectrum disorder.

Sonas Youth Club is for young people aged 11plus. They meet every Tuesday evening between 6:30-8:30pm, and also offer school holiday activities. Volunteers are vital for iCARE and Sonas Youth Club. The groups seeks to engage members of the local community and gain support for the work they carry out and services they offer. They would appreciate any help with fundraising, computers, web design, drivers, sports and physical activities, administration and adult education. No previous experience is required, just a desire to work with young people, have a bit of fun and be a good role model. Indeed, all persons who register as interested volunteers will be provided with excellent opportunities to learn new skills as training will be provided. The volunteer recruitment evening will be held on Monday 10th November between 6-7pm at the iCARE Centre, Looking Glass Brae, Ballymacarry, Buncrana. For more information email:
