Voting is continuing in the National Lottery Awards and local heritage project ‘We Were Brothers’ is keen to win your vote.

Winning in the award would earn the project £2000 to use towards project development and would also gain them invaluable publicity on national television.

‘We Were Brothers’, masterminded by local author and journalist Felicity McCall examines the history of World War One when young soldiers from both sides of the divide in Ireland fought side by side.

Felicity said the project has had positive media interest from across the UK and Ireland, Europe, the US, and Australasia.

“But it’s your votes that got us to the final three in the National Lottery Awards, Best Heritage Project and it’s your votes that will bring home the title,” Felicity said.

You can vote online at www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards or vote by calling 0844 836 9717 which will cost no more than 5p.
