It’s a record breaking time for The Derry Journal with more people reading our content than at any time in our 243 year history.

And to keep up with that phenomenal demand we are making a few changes to how we bring you what you want in the way you want it.

Our digital audience growth has been rapid - up 58% on 2014 and in excess of 800,000 page views every month - and we want to ensure we match your appetite to access the very best in local news and sports coverage at the time and via the channel that suits you best.

The Derry Journal has become multi platform and instantly accessible, we are more engaged with our readers than ever before.

So here’s our plans.

From October 5, the Tuesday and Friday newspapers will publish a total of six editions to deliver enhanced print coverage across Derry City, Inishowen and Roe Valley. The final edition of the Sunday Journal will be published on October 4.

And we’ll be adding to what we do online and on social media with even more news and sport stories being broken via the market leading www.derryjournal.com

It’s our vision that these changes will keep us at the very heart of the communities we serve
