One Inishowen town was washed in a see of colour this week as an American graffiti artist arrived on the scene.

Ernel Martinez originally from Belize but who now lives in Philadelphia, arrived in Moville on Monday to complete an Urban Arts Project in conjunction with the Moville Family Resource Centre.

The MRC are working with the Playhouse in Derry to add colour to the local community. This Playhouse has brought international graffiti artists to Derry and Donegal to work with young people.

Mary McKinney from the Resource Centre said the project will be directed by the young people who are taking participating.

“This gives them the opportunity to collaborate with international artists to highlight issues that are important to them and use graffiti to visualize their ideas.”

The mural took place at throughout the week at the corner of Foyle Street.
