Fundraising quiz held in memory of Eamon

A major fundraising event is taking place in the Malin Hotel tonight in memory of the late Eamon McMenamin who died last year.

A table quiz and auction is being organised by the McLaughlin family from Malin in memory of Eamon, a native of Buncrana who was married to Patricia (nee Mc Laughlin) from Malin.

Eamon, who died last August after a short illness, was very popular with everyone in Malin during his frequent visits to the area.

All the proceeds from tonight’s event are going to the Oncology Unit, Letterkenny Hospital.

The quiz will cover a range of questions including general knowledge, music, tv programmes, sport, films, picture round, gambler rounds and as Eamon was an avid Donegal fan, there will be a complete round of Donegal GAA questions.

The match programme from the 1984 Centenary Cup game Donegal v Kerry autographed by Donegal team - will also be up for auction.

First prize in the quiz is a meal for four at the Malin Hotel and second prize is four bottles of wine from G & S Supermarket. The raffle prizes include a Donegal top signed by the current squad, meal vouchers, gift vouchers, hampers and a meat voucher.
