Leading older people’s charity, Age NI has received a donation from the Pension Centre on Carlisle Road in celebration of the centre’s 10th anniversary supporting local older people.
Caitriona Hughes, Pension Centre Manager, said: “Age NI was the natural choice to receive the funds as we work closely together to support older people in need. We’re delighted to present the charity with £1130.50 which was raised through a variety of fun activities by our team.”
Siobhan Casey, Age NI Marketing Director, commented: “I’d like to thank the Pension Centre for their kind donation and for supporting the incredible work that Age NI, in partnership with North West Ageing Well Together, do for the local community. Each year, the Age NI Advice Service deals with over 10,000 calls from older people, their families and carers and one of the most important activities we carry out is a free benefits check. With millions going unclaimed in older people’s benefits each year, it’s important that we continue to provide services that help as many older people as possible access the financial support they are entitled to.’
