As part of Lent, the Derry Youth Community is inviting local young people to come to come to a series of debate nights with Bishop Donal McKeown.
The events will give young people the chance to question and discuss relevant issues with the Bishop.
A spokesman for Derry Youth Community said: “This is open to people aged 16 to 21 and will take place on Sunday, 21st February, 28th February, 6th March, 13th March and Tuesday, 15th March from 7pm to 8pm in St Mary’s College, Northland Road. This will be a great opportunity to meet other young people from throughout the city.”
The debate nights are the latest in a series of innovative programmes brought forward for the Lenten season.
St. Eugene’s Cathedral has already introduced a Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving (PFA) Programme for the Lenten season.
The PFA programme is designed to draw people closer to God, and participants are receiving a special prayer to pray each day.
“This is designed to help us to live with love, compassion and forgiveness at the heart of our daily lives,” a spokesman said.
