Limavady Policing and Community Safety Partnership’s Cage Sports project has been adapted for Halloween this year, following last year’s ‘Zombie Nation’ event.
Zombie Cage Soccer will be delivered as part of a PCSP diversion project in Roe Valley Leisure Centre on Thursday, 31 October, from 3pm to 10pm.
Zombie Nation will be offered as a free, family project, open to families and young people across the Limavady Borough Council area.
“Youngsters, parents and carers are encouraged to come along dressed as a Zombie, or in Halloween fancy dress,” said a Limavady Borough Council spokesperson.
Zombie Family Fun will be delivered from 3pm to 5pm.
“This event will offer Zombie Cage Soccer, Halloween face painting, fun inflatable activities, Zombie balloon making, Halloween treats, and a Halloween disco. A Spooky Trail will also run in the House of Horrors inside Roe Valley Leisure Centre,” said the spokesperson.
Zombie Teenage Kicks will also be delivered to young people aged 11-18, from 7pm to 10pm. This event will offer Zombie Cage Soccer, Zombie Laser Tag, and an ‘Extreme Scream’ will take place in the House of Horrors.
“Young people in community groups across the town are currently designing and making costumes for the event, thanks to PCSP funding, in preparation for the event,” added the Council spokesperson.
Commenting on the project yesterday, Limavady Policing and Community Safety Partnership Chairperson Alan Robinson said: “We are delighted to once again be able to offer this comprehensive Halloween event in a central location in the Limavady Borough Council area.”
Colr. Robinson hopes the events will attract a strong turnout, adding:
“We would encourage everyone to dress up, come along and get involved in some of the really fun, free activities on offer.”
