Zombie runners ‘Reach’ the finish line

Hundreds of people turned out to watch members of Derry’s Reach Running Club as they took part in the Halloween Zombie Run through the city centre.

There was not a limp or lumber to be seen as the runners and walkers, decked out like the walking dead, took off at speed off on a 5km.

There were more than a few double takes from those travelling to and from the Monster Fair and Chateau Le Fear along the Peace Bridge, as they came face-to-face with the zombie runners.

The first 200 to pass the finish line were given free t-shirts for their efforts.

Reach Running Club meets every Tuesday at Gransha Park House at 6.30pm, Thursday at Sainsbury’s carpark at 6.30pm and Sunday at Sainsbury’s carpark at 1.30pm.
