'Night at the Races' will help the Donegal Hospice

A 'Night at the Races' will take place next Friday in Callaghan's Bar. This event is in aid of the Oncology Unit of the Donegal Hospice in memory of the late Jimmy Lafferty, Cloghan, Quigley's Point.
Racing will commence at 9 p.m. sharp and a good turn out would be very much appreciated in this very worthy cause.
The committee of Carndonagh Toy Sale are not having a toy sale this year, there will be a Flower Show instead, with International Flo
wer Designer, Michael Doherty ICFS, Buncrana. The Flower Show will take place in the Strand Hotel, Ballyliffin on Thursday, 22nd November at 8 p.m. All proceeds from this event will go direct to local people working in third world countries. Tickets cost 10 euro which includes a draw for a magnificent hamper and may be purchased from Bridie Fintans or any committee member or by phoning 074 9374706. Please support this very worthy cause.
Carndonagh Community School Annual Mass for the dead will be celebrated in the school tonight at 8 p.m. Everyone welcome.
Don't forget Bingo in St. Mary's Community Hall, Muff, every Saturday night commencing at 9.15 p.m. sharp.
Names are now being taken for a Homeopathy Class which will commence shortly. Contact Serenity House on 074 9382945 for more details.
There was no jackpot winner last week in the Quigley's Point Community Centre/R.C.D. Limited mini lotto draw. The winning numbers were 5,20,21,24 and the four 15 euro winners were Clodagh Callaghan, Clar; Dayna Molloy, Quigley's Point; Hugh McCarron, Quigley's Point, and Ciaran Duffy, Ballyargus. The jackpot will be 2,975 euro tonight.
A dance will take place in the Bayview Lounge, Redcastle tomorrow night, 10th November. Music by Midnight Sun and dancing from 10.30 p.m. - 1 a.m. A good night is promised.
