Joanne's coffee morning raises 1,615 euro

Joanne McCann from the Three Trees held a coffee morning recently and raised the staggering amount of 1,615 euro for the Donegal Hospice. Joanne would like to thank everyone who attended and everyone who contributed to help make this event such a huge success.
The committee of Quigley's Point Ceili Club will be celebrating their 25th anniversary shortly and are holding a reunion party in the GAA clubhouse, Ture, on Thursday, 18th October, commencing at 8.30 p.m. All past and present members are very welcom
e to come along.

The Cancer Support and Social Club are welcoming all people living with a cancer diagnosis, their friends, carers and relatives, to come along to the Milltown House, Tulnaree, Carndonagh on the second Monday of every month at 7.30 p.m. At this meeting people can talk confidentially about their worries, educate themselves and have some fun. There was no jackpot winner last week in the Quigley's Point Community Centre/R.C.D. Limited mini lotto draw. The winning numbers were 4,7,11,189 and the four 15 euro winners were Anne Marie Lafferty, Clunelly; Anthony McLaughlin, Fernbank; Patrick McLaughlin, Clar, and Marie Duffy, Ballyargus. The jackpot will be 2,600 euro tonight.

A charity dance in aid of the Irish Kidney Association will be held in the Rock Bar, Muff, on Saturday, 20th October. Tickets are available from Veronica or David McGinley, contact on 086 8495145 or 087 9031755 or you can just pay at the door on the night. There will also be a raffle on the night. Music by Bryan Mullen.

Inishowen Kindergarten presents 'Creating a Happy Childhood' series - second workshop 'Nuturing the Sensory Sensitivity in the Young Child', with guest Dot Male from York, England, on Saturday 20th October from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Greenbank Hall, Quigley's Point. The Alzheimer's Society, Donegal Branch, are looking for part-time carers, to look after people in their own homes. Training will be provided. If interested, contact the Alzheimer's Office on 074 9722795.
