Mayor's Parade kicks off Muff Festival tonight

The Muff Festival kicks off tonight with the Mayor's Parade at 7 p.m. So it's time you had your float organised. Remember you can walk, cycle, dance or come in a wheeled vehicle. Do come along and join in the fun from today until Monday.
The Fusion teen disco will be held in the Plaza, Buncrana every Friday night. All under 16s welcome. Buses will run from Greencastle, Moville, Quigley's Point and Muff. Contact Skellys 074 9382173.

A child's watch was found on Sunday, 13th July at
the Inishowen Romanian Fund Sports' Day in Quigley's Point. Contact Marion Doherty, 9383777.

An Indoor Market/Car Boot sale will be held every Saturday in the Plaza, Buncrana from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. All sorts of stalls are welcome, arts and crafts, good as new clothes, jewellery, etc. Tables cost 10 euro and no booking is necessary. For further information telephone 086 3984451.

There was no jackpot winner last week in the Quigley's Point Community Centre/R.C.D. Limited mini lotto draw. The winning numbers were 6, 11, 14, 19 and the four 15 euro winners were: Julie McElhinney, 36, Cedar Grove, Carn, Ann Marie Lafferty, Clunelly, Rose Breslin, Carrickmaquigley, Ava McElhinney, 36, Cedar Grove, Carn. The jackpot tonight will be 2,675 euro.

Serenity House, Moville is organising a trip to Westport from 21 - 27 September staying at the Castlecourt Hotel. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. Contact Serenity House, 9382945 for details.

Inishowen Development Partnership is currently taking names from women interested in doing the ECDL training programme. This free course will commence in September and is suitable for any woman who wants to develop her skills and knowledge of computers. The course will run for 32 weeks and will involve a committment of one day a week for 2 hours.

Each programme will have a minimum of 13 participants and will be held in a number of locations in the peninsula, subject to demand. This course is completely free and due to the limited number of places availabale, selection for participation on this course will be by application form only. Bingo continues every Saturday night in St. Mary's Community Hall at 9.15 p.m. sharp. Continued support is much appreciated.

A Garden Fete will be held in the grounds of Moville Presbyterian Church on Saturday 16th August at 2 p.m. The church will be open to the public. The glamorous granny and handsome grandad competition will start at 3 p.m. Usual stalls - cakes, plants, books, bric-a-brac, games, tea and bouncy castle. Music by Capricorn and admission is 2 euro, children under 12 free. all proceeds in aid of the proposed hall building fund.

For anyone who is caring for an older person the Carers Development Officer Service is the one for you. Information on entitlements, support groups, respite and training will be covered. Contact Diane Donnelly 087 2770103.

There was no jackpot winner in the Naomh Padraig GAA club lotto this week. The winning numbers were 2, 4, 6, 3, 1, 7, 5. Runners-up prizes - Patrick Gillen, Moville and M. Robb, 10, Craig Park each won 50 euro. Next week's jackpot will be 1,450 euro.

The Naomh Padraig underage fundraising draw took place last week and produced five winners in total. Shane Harkin took first place in the sellers' draw and won a club top while Stephen Slattery was runner-up and won a football. First prize in the overall draw of 75 euro was won by Anne McGroddy, Knowhead Road, 2nd 50 euro TBC and 25 euro, Aisling McGonagle, Glackmore.

Parents are reminded that under 1- training scheduled for today has been cancelled.

There are a number of senior kit bags sponsored by Donegal Signs available for sale at 25 euro each. Contact a committee member.

The Bradley Cup is up for grabs on Monday, 5th in conjunction with the Muff Festival. There will be an open 9-a-side tournament at Ture at 5 p.m.
