A number of charities are coming together to break the world record for the most Santa's in the one place and i.C.A.R.E. is one of them. They are looking for 2,500 volunteers to help make up the 10,001 Santas gathering on Derry's walls on 9th December at 11.30 a.m. They are appealing for as many as possible to register so please get registered now. To make it easier to get involved i.C.A.R.E. is opening an office on Main Street, buncrana (next door to Abrakebabra) for registration and collection of Santa suits from next Monday. The Flower Show will take place in the Strand Hotel next Thursday at 8 p.m. All proceeds go directly to local people working in Third World countries. Tickets are 10 euro which includes a draw for a hamper and can be bought from Bridie Fintan's, any committee member or by ringing 9374706.
There will be a special Diocesan Mass on Sunday, 25th at 3 p.m. in the Holy Family church, Ballymagroarty. The Mass will be an opportunity for friends and family who have lost young ones to come together in the spirit of prayer and hope.
