The pilgrimage to Scalp Eucharistic Cross will take place this Sunday, 26th August. All pilgrims are asked to assemble at the Mallore Stone which is adjacent to the circular reservoir visible from the main road.
Prayers will be said there at 3 p.m. after which pilgrims will begin the climb to the top of the hill where Mass will be celebrated at the Eucharistic Cross. There is a lot of real anticipation in the parish about the pilgrimage with many recalling the last climb 25 years ago. Everyone should be aware that Scalp Mountain is very steep and the going is quite touch, so everyone should wear boots or good walking shoes for the occasion.

Deepest sympathy is offered to Joanne McConn and family, Three Trees on the death last week of her mother Jean Cunningham, Carndonagh. May her soul rest in peace.

Back to school teenage disco will be held tonight in the Tul-na-ri, Carndonagh, under 12s 7.30 p.m.-9 p.m. and teenagers from 9.15 p.m. to 11.15 p.m. all must be collected immediately afterwards.
