The whole community was numbed with shock and grief at the very sudden and untimely death recently of Bernadette McColgan, Drung, Quigley's Point. Bernadette, who had just turned 26 was a daughter of Kathleen and the late Barney McColgan, Drung. She had been living and working in Letterkenny for the past 5 years and worked in the Donegal Centre for Independent Living. There Bernadette had excelled beyond all expectations and became a leader with her own P.A.
and also trained others. She made a huge impact there and touched the hearts of many people. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, her work colleagues and everyone who knew her.
Fr. Mailey officiated at her Requiem Mass in St. Patrick
's Church, Iskaheen, assisted by Fr. Morris. The Lessons were read by Robert Clarke, Martha McColgan, James McColgan, Nicola Donaghy, Jacqueline Donaghy and Veronica Streete. The Offertory Gifts were presented by Ryan and Sarah Streete, nephew and niece and three of Bernadette's friends, Bernie, Lisa and Nicola. The beautiful music and singing throughout the ceremony was provided by Kevin Mailey and Lucy Donaghy. Burial took place in Drung Cemetery.
Sympathy is offered to Bernadette's mother, Kathleen, sisters, Veronica and husband Freddie, Michelle and husband Robert, nieces and nephews, Ryan, Sarah and Harrison, aunts, uncles and cousins and a wide family circle and many friends. May she rest in peace.

A holiday bible club will be held from this Monday, 30th - Friday 4th July at Greenbank Church Hall from 6.30 - 8.30 p.m. all children of primary school age are very welcome. There will be stories, quizzes, singing, drama, crafts, refreshments and lots of fun. Also commencing Thursday, 3rd July a youth club for young people of secondary school age, led by the Exodus Youth Team will run each day until 11th July. There will be food, sports, beach, music, cinema, barbeque, paint-balling, etc. Everyone welcome.
The four communities of Foyle West - Redcastle, Quigley's Point, Muff and Culmore are organising a summer scheme for children of all ages for the week commencing next Monday, 30th. A full programme of activities will be offered at Redcastle F.C. grounds, Quigley's Point Community Centre, St. Mary's Community Hall, Muff, Thornhill College and the River Foyle. Among the activities planned are disco dancing, badminton, art, drama, circus skills, tennis, basketball, water sports, karate demonstration and boxing demonstration and lots more. Transport will be provided and there will be a small fee.

Defeat against Moville, like the boys cost the girls runners-up spot. Both girls and boys teams therefore had to be content with third place for this year. A great effort and well done to all.
