DIV THREE: Drum roll on as Dolan's tackle Magilligan

Drum v Ogra Colmcille

Drum are the only unbeaten side in this division with four wins from four, their most recent against title rivals Limavady when they had six points to spare despite playing for 55 minutes without red carded full-back Kevin O’Reilly.

He misses this game, also against a side with ambitions of challenging for promotion. For Ogra this is ‘must win’ territory already. Having suffered a surprise defeat to Dolan’s they cannot afford to slip four points behind Drum if they want to catch them. Drum are favourites though and look the team to beat at this grade.

Slaughtneil IIIs v Doire Colmcille

Doire Colmcille make the long trip to Emmet Park to meet a decent Slaughtneil side who have shown, despite four defeats in five games, that they will be competitive against all the Junior sides.

The city side boast the top scorer in this division in Dean Curran with 3-19 and he will prove a handful for the Emmet’s. How they handle Curran could decide this game.

Colmcille were off the pace last time against Sean Dolan’s after some decent displays but they could get their second win here.

Sean Dolan’s v Magilligan

These sides are level on six points, the home team from five games, Magilligan from four but the visitors have a more potent attack, Conor Canning their leading scorer with 3-06.

Dolan’s will be looking for a second win at their new pitch and with Mark Loughery (3-06) and Caolan McCosker (1-10) scoring heavily they will make Magilligan battle for a return from the Creggan pitch. Dolan’s have surprised people with a positive start and if they continue to improve they could challenge. This looks close.

Verdict: Dolans to edge it, just

Magherafelt Thirds v Glack

Glack have made a poor start to the season with three defeats in four games and their promotion aspirations look over before the season even gets going.

However they should get back on tract at Rossa Park against the home club’s third string side who have yet to win a game. On their day, Glack are a match for most sides in this division but have not yet clicked this year and are conceding far too many scores. They were well off the pace in the midweek loss to Ardmore and would be foolhardy to take the Rossas for granted.

Verdict: Glack get back on track
