Sean Dolan’s v Magherafelt Thirds
Last season Rossas showed remarkable consistency to reach the league final and win the Intermediate Reserve Championship but the retirement of Ciaran Higgins and a few other players, has weakened their panel and defeat to Glack makes them more vulnerable to the top teams. Dolan’s had no game at the weekend but will be strongly fancied to win this one after a strong opening day performance.
Doire Colmcille v Drum
Alreadyit has been a tough start to the season for the city side, shipping 2-16 and 1-15 in their two defeats to date, against Magherafelt Thirds and Magilligan. They had a good first half in the latter game but the injury to key player Emmett McBride will hit them hard. Drum are unbeaten and should add to their tally.
Ardmore v Bellaghy Thirds
Bellaghy Thirds have put in a couple of good displays in defeat to Dolan’s and Drum but without any reward and it will not get any easier as they face one of the division’s top sides. You’d expected the Black and Amber to come through this game with a bit to spare.
Glack v Magilligan
Glack recovered well from their one point defeat to Ardmore to take the points from Magherafelt Thirds, veteran Sean McNicholl scoring the only goal of the game. Magilligan had a good win over Doire Colmcille but this is a step up and Glack get the vote for two more points.
