There were momentous scenes over the weekend as our senior footballers secured the first silverware in 28 years. Tommy ‘The Legend’ O’Kane crept up the field to deliver the killer score with only seconds remaining of a highly contested thriller against Ardmore in Foreglen on Sunday last. It was a huge lift for the club this season and just reward for the effort that went in. Well done one and all. However, the main focus of our season was promotion and, as such, the biggest game of our season is in Ballinascreen at 1.30pm on Sunday - again against Ardmore. The two teams know each other inside out now so another gigantic struggle will be in store. Again, if we apply ourselves, if we are are disciplined and focused, hopefully the momentum generated from last Sunday’s victory will squeeze us over the line. This is about teamwork and the team, 25 of a panel. I would encourage all Glack gaels to once again come out and cheer on our fellas. The support was fantastic last week and very much appreciated by the players.
It is planned to hold a buffet after the match in the clubhouse. All families are encouraged to assist with this with sandwiches etc.
