Donemana dominant in both Senior Cups

The rains cleared for a while at least and there were plenty of thrills and spills at the weekend with Donemana and Fox Lodge celebrating big wins on both days while champions Brigade booked their place in this season’s Northern Bank senior cup final.
And what a week-end at the Holm as Richard Kee’s side thumped Glendermott in the same competition to earn a semi final tie at holders Bready next Saturday and they followed that up in similarly convincing style on Sunday with an emphatic win against Railway Union in their first home match for three years in the Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup.
It was a superb week-end too for Fox Lodge who went into Saturday’s game at Magheramason with just one win in the whole season so far but finished on six points by Sunday night having beaten Bready and Strabane in just 24 hours.
Limavady and Strabane both recorded crushing wins on Saturday against Bonds Glen and Creevedonnell respectively as the battle at both top and bottom of Division 1 intensifies.
