ABERCORN maintained their one point lead at the top of the Derry & District Premier Division table with a convincing ‘away’ victory over Culmore on Sunday.

Top of the Hill Celtic recorded a slender win over a spirited Lisahally side as Trojans overcame Porter’s and Oxford United Stars made short work of Don Bosco’s.

Meanwhile, in the First Division, a Paul Gormley goal for Rocking Chair saw the Waterloo Street side defeat Derry City while the other joint leaders, Crescent, were held to a draw by Killea Nixon’s-Corner.

There were also wins for Phoenix, Strand United and A.O.H. Harps.

Sunday’s Results

Premier Division - Trojans 2, Porter’s 1; Lisahally 2, Top of the Hill Celtic 3; Oxford United Stars 5, Don Bosco’s 2 and Culmore 2, Abercorn 6.

First Division - Crescent 0, Killea N.C. 0; Derry City 0, Rocking Chair 1; Phoenix 4, Ballymoor 3; Strand United 6, Maydown 2 and AOH Harps 3, The Bentley 2.

Condolences

All those associated with the Derry & District Football Association wish to express their sympathy to George McGowan (Abercorn) and the McGowan family circle following the death of his father, Patsy.

May he rest in peace.

Meanwhile, the Derry & District F.A. wish Kieran McConnelogue (Porter’s) and Robbie Nicholl (Rocking Chair) speedy recoveries from their injuries.
