“Baptism of Fire” for Trojans on Premier Division Debut

A SPIRITED Trojans side were dealt a tough initiation into the Premier Division as reigning champions, Top of the Hill Celtic romped to an emphatic victory at Lisnagelvin on Sunday.

The Waterside men took a while to get going in a game which was scoreless for almost an hour, however, their class showed in the end as they secured their second successive victory.

Also in the top flight, Three Flowers recorded a comfortable victory over Brandywell Harps and Tristar came from behind to defeat Abercorn.

Elsewhere, Don Bosco’s defeated Downey’s in St Columb’s Park and Celtic Swifts and Lisahally shared the spoils in a six goal thriller.

In the First Division there were wins for Phoenix, Oxford Colts, Culmore and Campbell’s while Strand United and The Bentley shared the points.
