LAST weekend’s Saturday Morning League experienced some interesting results as the weekend fixture list was completed for the first time in weeks thanks to a change in the weather.

In the Premier Division Brandywell Celtic saw their title hopes fade as they were beaten by Rosemount and Clooney are in real relegation trouble as they fell 6-1 against Foyle Harps.

Westbank United, the league leaders, stretched their lead at the top as they hammered Drumahoe and Clifton Villa saw their title hopes fade as they threw away a three goals lead to draw 4-4 with Du Pont.

Meanwhile, in the Championship Sion Swifts had an easy win over Foyle Athletic and Tamnaherin saw their title hopes diminish as they were defeated at home by Newton Heath. Leaders, Benbradagh Colts, were also beaten for the first time this season as they lost at home to Strabane Athletic and Gransha Institute got back to winning ways when defeating Olympic.

In the First Division the lead has changed at the top of the table as Tristar returned to the summit thanks to defeating Art Deco. Greysteel Celtic were beaten at home by HML and Oakleaf Celtic and Culmore shared the spoils while Oxford United record their biggest win of the season when defeating Collegians 7-2.
