New Derry City manager, Roddy Collins, signed his first new player last night since joining the club last week.
Dubliner, Collins, finalised a deal late last night to bring Athlone Town striker Enda Curran to the Brandywell.
Curran was signed by Collins from Salthill Devon midway through last season when he was manager of Athlone.
A native of Galway, Curran netted 12 goals in the Airtricity League First Division last season; including a hat-trick for Salthill Devon against Athlone Town.
Curran confirmed that he had signed for Derry City via social networking site, Facebook last night.
“Over the moon to have signed with Derry City Football Club,” said Curran.
“A huge club with tremendous history and European football to look forward to. Dreams do come true once you work hard anything can be achieved,” said the new Derry City signing.
