DEAN Jarvis has committed his immediate future to Derry City after agreeing on a new one year deal with the Brandywell club.

The Brandywell lad becomes Kenny Shiels’ seventh signing since taking charge of the Lone Moor Road club joining goalkeeper, Shaun Patton who has also re-signed for the 2016 season.

Left backs are hard to come by and Dean has quite a high level of experience compared to some other players we have.

“Left backs are hard to come by and Dean has quite a high level of experience compared to some other players we have,” said Derry boss, Shiels.

“Dean did really well last season so I’m delighted to have him on board.”

Jarvis netted his first goal for the ‘Candy Stripes’ back in September in the 1-0 victory over Shamrock Rovers at Brandywell.

The defender joined the club in June 2013 from city neighbours Institute.
