The Journal understands that new Derry City manager Declan Devine is interested in signing former Wolverhampton Wanderers defender John Dunleavy.

It is believed that 20 year-old Dunleavy is currently training with Finn Harps but would be open to a possible move to Derry City.

St. Patrick’s Athletic forward Daryl Kavanagh has also been linked with a move to Brandywell. The Sunday Journal understands that the 25 year-old former Waterford United and Cobh player is interested in signing for the Candy Stripes.

Declan Devine was unveiled as the new manager of Derry City FC at a press conference at the club’s social club on Friday evening. His assistant manager is former Derry player Paul Hegarty. Both men have signed a two year contract.
