Derry City manager Stephen Kenny has revealed that former Shamrock Rovers captain, Aidan Price, will guest appear for the Candy Stripes against Finn Harps later today.

New Derry City forward Éamon Zayed has revealed how before agreeing to join the Candy Stripes he almost signed for Egyptian club Haras El-Hodood.

The Alexandra based team had a agreed a deal for the Irish born Libyan international but pulled out at the last minute - just days before the country erupted into political chaos.

“It’s mad to think that I should be there right now,” said 27-year-old Zayed. “I had agreed to sign for a team that is run by the country’s Defence Minister.

“I feel very lucky with the way things have turned out. I’m really thankful that it didn’t happen.”
